Please Pray for:

Sir Knights all,

It’s is with great sadness I must ask you to please pray for the repose of the soul of Jean Chrobocinski, wife of Former Master of 2nd NJ District Albert F. Chrobocinski, as she has passed away. More details as they become available!

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Amen.

Genevieve (Jean) K. Chrobocinski, 87, of Brick entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 15, 2023 blanketed in the love of her family. Born in Newark, Jean lived in the Ironbound section with her young family until moving to Brick over 55 years ago where she has resided ever since. Jean was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother and Grammy who would go out of her way to spoilthem and bring joy to their lives as much as they brought joy to her life. Jean worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Newark, New Jersey for over 30+ years and worked herway up to an Account Representative before retiring at 55 to enjoy spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also used her ‘free’ time to cook, throw parties, plan events and travel cross country with her husband. A strong woman of faith, Jean would pray two rosaries a day for anyone going through difficulties with their health. Despite overcoming four cancers and other health issues, she always felt others were more in need. Jean also gave hope to others facing similar circumstances. Never one to sit idle, Jean was involved in various civic, catholic and charitable activities. One of her favorite charities, that she began supporting as a young woman and continued throughout her life, was St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital. Jean was President of St. Casimir’s School PTA (Newark), President of the Knights of Columbus Council 836 Ladies Auxiliary, involved in Brick Hospital fundraising and volunteered at St. Dominic’s School (Brick) over three generations of attendees--her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jean was predeceased by her parents, Adam and Hattie (Spychalski) Kempcyznski. Jean is survived byher loving and devoted husband of over 65 years, Albert; her two children, Ronald and his wife, Debra, and Lynda Linfante and her husband, Wayne; grandchildren Christopher Morrison and his wife, Alexandra, Cara Kennedy and her husband, Scott and Cassandra Nickerson and her husband, Brandon; and great-grandchildren Christopher, Brandon, Jessica, Salene, Americo, Olivia, Carabella, Ava, Madelyn, and Alexander. Jean is also survived by her siblings Constance Boberick, Carol Dayke, Thomas Kempczynski and Bernadette Sorochen and her husband, Frank; her godchildren and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Jean’s was a life well-lived. May she rest in peace. Visitation will be Friday April 21, 2023 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Hwy.88, Brick. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday April 22nd at 9:00 am at St. Dominic’s R.C. Church, Brick. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
